The Don & Kandy Loggins Revocable Living Trust of Arlington collected the top prize of $1 million in the Texas Lottery's Texas Million game. The winning numbers were 03-17-22-18.
The top-prize winning ticket was purchased at Chuck's Grocery & Grill, located at 700 Secretary Drive in Arlington. The drawing was held on Friday, May 4, 2001. For selling a winning Texas Million ticket, the retailer receives a one-percent bonus of $10,000.
There were two tickets sold for the $1 million prize for this drawing. The Partnership of Rojas and Smith of Pharr purchased the other ticket in San Juan at the RC Mini Mart, located at I Road & Chaparral. They claimed their prize on May 25th.
The ticket turned over today was the last top-prize winner to be claimed for Texas Million. The last drawing for the game was May 11, 2001. Since its inception in May of 1998, Texas Million produced 25 $1 million winners, and contributed $65 million to the Foundation School Fund.
Representatives of the trust requested minimal publicity. |
