11/05/2005 The Texas Lottery Commission presented three retailer bonus checks to San Antonio-based UltraMar Diamond Shamrock for selling jackpot-winning Lotto Texas tickets. The bonus checks, totaling $415,000, were given to three separate UltraMar Diamond Shamrock stores.
"The Texas Lottery Commission is pleased to present these bonus checks to UltraMar Diamond Shamrock," said Robert Tirloni, Texas Lottery On-Line Product Manager. "It's because of people and employees like those here today, we can keep the games of Texas fun and exciting for our retailers and our players!"
Big Diamond 96, located at 10420 South Presa (Hwy. 181) in San Antonio, received a retailer bonus check for $25,000 for selling a winning Lotto Texas ticket for the January 22, 2000 drawing. The estimated $10 million jackpot was split among four different winners; the RMRMB&C Family Limited Partnership of San Antonio, the Debbie and Julian Trust of Harlingen, Aracely Krass of Pflugerville and Arturo Davila of Laredo.
Stop N Go, located at 1318 2nd Street and Commerce in Pleasanton, was awarded $180,000 for selling the jackpot-winning Lotto ticket for the February 9, 2000 drawing. The jackpot was an estimated $18 million. Juan Rodriguez from Charlotte, TX, was the sole jackpot winner.
A third check was given to Diamond Shamrock 904, located at 2604 North Story in Irving. The store received $210,000 for selling the winning Lotto ticket for the June 28th drawing for an estimated $21 million. As of today, the Irving claimant has not yet come forward.
"A big 'Thank You!' goes out to these retailers, who have worked so hard for the Texas Lottery," said Tirloni. "We want to personally congratulate UltraMar for all their success!"
On hand to receive the bonus checks were UltraMar representatives and Big Diamond 96 store employees.
To date, UltraMar Diamond Shamrock retailers have sold six Lotto Texas winning tickets this calendar year, totaling $775,000 in retailer bonuses! |
