LAS VEGAS, NEV. -- Slot players have the chance to drive home in a new 1999 Volkswagen New Beetle GLS from Harrah's Las Vegas Casino & Hotel. From July 2 through Sept. 30, 1999, customers can qualify to win one of the popular, newly redesigned Volkswagen Beetles which will be given away on Oct. 25, 1999.
To qualify for the Volkswagen, customers will receive drawing tickets in the following ways: for any hand-paid jackpot; $500 or more in coin redeemed at a cashier booth; being a new sign-up for a Harrah's Total Gold card; for every $5 issued in Total Gold Point Rewards; every $500 marker buy-in; for every $5 or above win (hard-way) in craps; every ace/jack suited blackjack; every meal or Coors Light beverage purchased at the Fresh Market Square Buffet; and for every registered Harrah's hotel guest, available upon check-in.
Each day at 1 and 7 p.m., three qualifying winners will be drawn and given a chance to select the key that starts the vehicle. The person who starts the 1999 Volkswagen New Beetle GLS will instantly win $100 cash and be placed in the grand-prize drawing. The guests with incorrect keys will win logo'd merchandise from Coors.
All of the finalists who win $100 will be invited to return to Harrah's Las Vegas for a three day/two night stay, Oct. 24-25, 1999. On Oct. 25, three grand-prize finalists will select a key that could start the Beetle. The finalist with the correct key will drive home in the stylish 1999 Volkswagen New Beetle GLS. Contestants must be 21 years of age or older to participate.
