SCINTAS EXTEND CONTRACT AT RIO

LAS VEGAS, NEV. - Popular headline entertainers, The Scintas, recently inked a multi-year contract extension with the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. The Scintas launched their unique comedic show at the Rio in April, 2001, and will remain as showroom headliners until March, 2006.

"We are overwhelmed at the support the Rio has shown us," said John Milkie, Scintas manager. "The Scintas are thrilled to add four more years of performances to their contract … they consider the Rio their home."

The Rio's Senior Vice President and General Manager, Tom Jenkin, was extremely pleased to extend the current contract.

"I'm happy to be continuing our relationship with the Scintas," said Jenkin. "The show has been very successful since its launch, and the Scintas are a name that is quickly becoming synonymous with Las Vegas and the Rio."

The Scintas present their distinctive "comedy with a twist" nightly in the Masquerade Showroom at the Rio.

This full-scale production show brings heart-warming humor, great singing, impressions and lots of fun to the 700-seat Masquerade Showroom. Performances are Friday through Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. (dark Thursday). Tickets are $49.95 plus tax, and available at the Rio Box Office.

The Scintas provide a unique entertainment experience, blending the magic of old-school Las Vegas with charm, humor and plenty of talent.

Pronounced SHIN-TAHS, the incomparable family-foursome is comprised of Joe Scinta, the eldest brother who plays a mean Joe Cocker impression, as well as the bass. Joe also plays comedic foil to younger brother Frank Scinta, who plays virtually every instrument (self-taught) and a range of impressions that bring down the house every night.

Frank takes on drummer Peter O' Donnell (the only non-Sicilian Scinta) for the ultimate comedy, percussion duet. The adorable younger sister, Chrissi Scinta, lights up the stage with her powerful soprano, earning her "the real star of the show" title from her brothers.
With a genuine appeal to audiences of all ages, the Scintas have become one of the city's hottest shows. The Buffalo, N.Y. natives not only make audiences laugh, but they also tell heart-warming stories of family devotion and strength.

Over the years, the Scintas have performed for both Presidents Reagan and Clinton, and have played with numerous entertainment legends, including Ray Charles, The Temptations and Rick James.
